MXP Device

Celling Technologies has developed a line of point of care products for Autologous Regenerative Therapies in the 21st Century (ART 21^®). We have partnered with cell processing industry leaders to develop and commercialize two advanced bone-marrow-derived stem cell concentration systems: 
MarrowXpress and ART 21^®.

MarrowXpress System

The innovative point-of-care MarrowXpress (MXP) System defines a new processing standard for isolating and retrieving stem cells from bone marrow. It is an automated, closed system that concentrates bone marrow to a user-defined volume in approximately 30 minutes, while retaining over 90% of mononucleated cells. Self-powered and microprocessor-controlled, the MXP platform contains flow-control optical sensors that achieve precise separation of blood components.

How it Works:

Bone marrow aspirate is transferred to the processing set, which is placed in the MarrowXpress device and centrifuged. After centrifugation stratifies the bone marrow aspirate into RBC, buffy coat and plasma segments, the MarrowXpress device harvests each of these components into separate bags.

Regulatory

The FDA has determined that the MXP/MarrowXpress is a LOW RISK, Class I device for which no 510(k) submission is required (i.e. ”Class I Exempt”). The MarrowXpress system is also CE marked for use outside of the US.
