Abcam’s IgM Rubella Virus In Vitro ELISA (Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay) Kit is designed for the precise qualitative measurement of IgM class antibodies to rubella virus in human serum and plasma.
A 96-well plate has been precoated with anti-human IgM antibodies to bind to the corresponding antibodies in the sample. Controls or test samples are added to the wells and incubated. After washing, a horseradish peroxidase (HRP) labeled rubella virus antigen conjugate, which binds to captured rubella virus-specific IgM antibodies, is added to the wells.
The HRP then catalyzes TMB to produce a blue product that changes to yellow after adding an acid stop solution. The density of the yellow staining is directly proportional to the amount of rubella virus IgM sample captured on the plate.
Key Features:
- Sample type: Plasma Cit, Plasma Hep, Serum
- Detection method: colorimetric
- Type of test: Sandwich (qualitative)
